Angela Taylor
Angela is a Senior Vice President at Gallagher, advising enterprise clients on strategically aligned and effective risk management for their most critical exposures. She brings more than 20 years of senior leadership experience spanning financial services, energy, and hospitality, with a background that includes executive oversight of complex risk programs, captive insurance operations, and enterpriselevel client engagement.

Angela is a Senior Vice President at Gallagher, advising enterprise clients on strategically aligned and effective risk management for their most critical exposures. She brings more than 20 years of senior leadership experience spanning financial services, energy, and hospitality, with a background that includes executive oversight of complex risk programs, captive insurance operations, and enterpriselevel client engagement. Angela holds a B.A. from the University of Connecticut and maintains the RIMSCRMP and CRM designations. She is also a licensed P&C Insurance Producer and actively serves the profession through leadership roles with the RIMS (Risk and Insurance Management Society, Inc.) DEI Advisory Council and NAAIA Charlotte.
After moving to Charlotte in 2018, Angela joined NAAIA Charlotte as a Board MemberatLarge in search of a community aligned with her values of professional excellence, representation, and collective growth. Seeing the need for a local presence, she helped support the development of the Charlotte chapter.
Her advice to those entering the industry, “Be curious, stay open, and don’t underestimate the breadth of opportunities this industry offers. Insurance touches nearly every aspect of life and business, which means there is room for a wide range of skills, interests, and backgrounds. Seek mentors early, ask questions often, and invest in continuous learning. Most importantly, bring your authentic self your perspective is valuable, and the industry is better when diverse voices are at the table”.

Join the NAAIA Charlotte Chapter and the Charlotte CPCU Society for a dynamic Insurance Industry Day (I-Day) bringing together insurance professionals, students, and industry leaders for a day of learning, insight, and networking.
The event will feature a series of engaging sessions covering timely topics shaping the insurance landscape. Highlights include a networking panel with professionals at different career stages, a discussion with the North Carolina Insurance Commissioner on the evolving regulatory and risk environment, and a presentation exploring emerging silica litigation risks affecting underwriting and brokerage.
Attendees will also hear from local university students pursuing careers in insurance and participate in a forward-looking panel exploring how artificial intelligence is changing interactions between brokers and their clients.
The day will conclude with a happy hour networking reception, providing an opportunity to connect with fellow professionals, speakers, and emerging talent in the industry.
