Board Member

With a decade of experience at Travelers, Cierra serves as a Claim Account Executive, partnering with business stakeholders to design strategic solutions that meet customers’ needs while helping manage loss costs. A proud graduate of Winthrop University, Cierra earned her BA in Sociology with a concentration in Criminology.

Cierra joined NAAIA Charlotte in 2024, inspired by the organization’s mission to empower Black professionals through mentorship, education, and community. Having personally experienced the impact of mentorship, she was drawn to an organization that uplifts others and gives back through outreach. Today, she serves on the Membership Committee, helping foster connections and engagement among members.

When reflecting on her proudest accomplishment, Cierra shares that taking a leap of faith to transition from a career as a juvenile probation officer into the insurance industry stands out most. Though it was an unfamiliar path, the experience taught her to trust in faith, embrace adaptability, and recognize her own potential.

Her advice for those exploring a career in insurance: “Stay curious, embrace every learning opportunity, and build your professional network. The insurance industry offers more variety than most people realize, and there’s truly a place for every skill set and passion.”
